Film Developing FAQ


  • 1. What types of film do you develop?

    We develop 35mm colour (C-41 process), black & white, and 120 medium format film. Please contact us to confirm processing options for specialty films such as slide (E-6) or disposable cameras. 

  • 2. How long does film developing take?

    • 35mm Colour (C-41): Typically ready in 3–5 business days. 
    • Black & White / 120 Film: May take up to 7–10 business days depending on volume and processing requirements. 
    • We’ll notify you once your order is ready for pickup. 
  • 3. Can I get my scans digitally?

    Yes! We offer digital scans delivered via email or USB. Just let us know your preferred format when you drop off your film. 

  • 4. Do you return the negatives?

    Absolutely. Your developed negatives are always returned with your order, whether you choose prints, scans, or both. 

  • 5. How should I prepare my film for drop-off?

    Please ensure your film is fully rewound and clearly labeled with your name and contact info. If you have specific requests (e.g., push/pull processing), include a note or let our staff know when dropping off. 

  • 6. Can I mail in my film?

    Yes, we accept mail-in orders! Please contact us for instructions and our mailing address. We recommend using a padded envelope and including your name, phone number, and processing preferences inside the package. 

  • 7. What is the cost of developing film?

    Prices vary depending on the type of film, number of exposures, and whether you want prints, scans, or both. Feel free to contact us or visit in-store for a full price list. 

  • 8. Do you develop disposable cameras?

    Yes, we do! Just drop off your disposable camera, and we’ll take care of the rest—including scanning and printing, if requested. 

  • 9. Do you offer prints from negatives or scans?

    Yes, we offer high-quality prints in a variety of sizes from both negatives and digital files. Ask us about our custom print options. 

  • 10. Can I get high-resolution scans for archiving or enlargements?

    Yes, we offer standard and high-resolution scanning options. Let us know what you plan to use the scans for, and we’ll recommend the best format for your needs.
